And your members? Do they provide direct funding to 60 Plus?

What about your lobbying firms? Do any of them handle pass-through money for you to 60 Plus? Or your subsidiaries? Can you actually claim that no money from makers of pharmaceuticals reached 60 Plus? And can you prove that claim?

Because 60 Plus won't answer questions.

We're learning how you play the game, Mr Johnson. We're citizens angry about the way you and your ilk have co-opted our democracy for big corporations at the expense of citizens -- patients and taxpayers.

And we fight back. Get used to it.

To set the record straight, PhRMA last provided funding to 60 Plus five years ago, in 2004, and we are not involved in any of the group’s current advocacy efforts.

Our top priority is to help ensure that a comprehensive health care reform bill gets to the President’s desk this year so that millions of uninsured Americans have access to high-quality, affordable health care coverage and services. If done in a smart way, health care reform will benefit patients, the economy and the future of America.

The person who asked Why do they need insurance if they have medicare demonstrates the lack of knowledge, naivite, and - I must say - lack of sensitivity across the board on those still caught up in this Obama stuff.
One needs supplemental insurance, period. Medicare is very, very good, but it doesn't cover everything, not by a long shot. Those have compalined about the "selfishness" of seniors, and show lack of knowledge on the simplest aspects of this "reform" for seniors, need to talk to someone over the age of 65 who is one Social Security, and who tries to make it on $2,000 a month, with Medicare and supplemental insurance costs deducted. I do this. And I can tell you, the bills that are about to pass will impact on me, and make it very, very difficult to live - even with a $825 Apartment, which involves walking 42 steps each trip.

You all got suckered by Obama, and you are doing it again. Wake up, and smell the coffee. You may live to age 67 yourself, and then you will find out what it is like. There is a reason why this guy is not liked by many, many seniors.

By the way- the AARP endorsement that Obama claimed, does not exist. Number one. AARP is encouraging responsible legislation, and has not see it yet. Also, Big Open Secret: AARP operates for a profit, it is a big, big business. It is not a charity, and often has crossed the wishes of its members. AARP is basically the organization that brought us the "doughtnut hole," and of course now says that this innane feature must be stamped out - by AARP.

Do some research, kids.

Instilled fears by corporate design, conditioned minds. Just like walking a mile for a camel or a getting a black eye for a Tarrington. Amazing how brainwashing works when people are persuaded to "act" against their own self interest using fear!
