First of all, let’s get down to the logistics of this ‘event’. If Pres. Clinton were to attend, the Secret Service would have to be involved, clearing and checking out every individual he could possibly come in contact with. Added expense, hassle for those coming to get care. Is the intent to provide care or to create a media event? And as much as folks would like to have Bill cheering from the sidelines on this healthcare issue, his involvement could be a death blow. People forget how hard he and Hillary wanted to enact healthcare reform, with many of the same provisions that are in the proposals before Congress today. Do you want to have the Clinton haters adding fuel to their fires of hate and discontent for any and everything that Obama and a Democratic Congress hope to do? Hillary is not saying a word, she’s Secretary of State, but she is the subject matter expert on healthcare reform. Bill knows a great deal, knows how to work the process, but it could all backfire and he’s not interested in providing Obama an excuse for failure even if there’s a slim chance for success. Bill can’t win for lose when it comes to his activism on any issue or subject. What he does behind the scenes will be far more effective than any public appearance for the evening news.

Of course it’s political! But what Bill doesn’t like, this time is that it is the people taking up action against his team; corporate America. It is a move to show Blanche the misery that exists in her state and maybe force her to vote for cloture. It’s okay for her to say that it’s not a solution but then to block what could be a solution is beyond shameful.

BTW, it’s amazing that lightning didn’t strike Bill for his comments. Everything he does is political.

At least Olberman is trying to get healthcare for those left out in the cold by the rich corporate whores who caused our financial meltdown and then went on to rape the TARP funds to save their sorry arses.

Why is it so difficult to give the people a basic 80/20 health and drug plan? Hillary Clinton was right on when she demanded that the Congress put all Americans on the Federal Healthplan that has over 250 choices.

After all, we the taxpayers pay for those VIP golden health plans!! Maybe if we put all the “Harlots(reps) on the Beast”(corps) on Medicare, they’ll change their tune real fast.

We’re supposed to be a Capitalist country yet those same whores who demanded it, sought Socialist bailouts. All that TARP money could have gone to pay for healthcare for every man, woman, and child, including illegals!!! And the rest of it could have been returned to the Social Security Trust fund, which the govt owes over $5 trillion dollars. Those worthless IOU’s(Treasury Bonds) will never be enough to repay Social Security.

You would think Clinton would seize the opportunity to show a former President among people who cannot afford healthcare by pushing Hillary’s original idea and promoting Universal Healthcare.

But as a rich man, he really could care less, he is wanting for nothing. We taxpayers continue to pay for his secret service protection and lifetime federal health care. So why hang with “those people” unless it can be to his advantage or get him publicity.

We American’s need to open our eyes and stop being distracted by all the tech toys the corporate whores throw at us. Not one Legislative Rep is clean. If any of them take lobbying money, they’re corrupt! Hence, the Harlot on the Beast metaphor.

We The People have the power to DEMAND those Bozos who don’t listen, to acutally listen!!! VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE!! The power of the people can get the “Change we can believe in.”

Obama’s only mistake was to get in bed with the corporate whores and protect their interests above the People’s. What the evil Far Right GOPer’s left him was just too overwhelming and he did what he had to do to save face.

As the President he should have done what the hell he wanted to but within the law! Obama needs to fire all his administration and start fresh with unbiased people without an agenda!

If we want healthcare in this country, then by God, get it done! Protest, protest, protest. We have freedom of Assembly!

Our reps are out of touch with reality and only focused on their politial career and agenda. Benjamin Franklin said it best, “TRICKS AND TREACHERY ARE THE PRACTICE OF FOOLS, THAT DON’T HAVE BRAINS ENOUGH TO BE HONEST.”

While working on voter protection in OH, I was offered free tickets to see the former president (who came to my home town to speak raise $ but the tickets weren’t moving). I refused, as not to embarrass the woman who offered the tickets, by posing questions of his past actions. I later heard many volunteers were offered free tickets to the event, but in the end a crowd of only 200 showed up to hear the former president.
