Do you guys have ADD? :) I was pointing to the excuses made by the idiots at DKos and if you had had the patience to read my complete post, you would have noticed I said "I am so tired of these JACKASSES I dont even want to go to DKos anymore". Wow! I was sick of the Obama workship there, and come here only to be yelled at by people who don't even have the ability to read a complete post. If this is the kind of reading you do, it says a lot about the "facts" you recite. Gawd!

middlerd may have been off target, but wields a mean torch -:)
especially the part about the State of California being to weak to regulate its own insurance giants. Why did we have anti-trust laws?
They are too big too exist.

Experience should have taught us by now that anti-trust laws, like any other laws they need to be enforced routinely - not merely out of political expedience.

If the nature of health care means that health insurance should have an exception to the anti-trust laws, then this is an argument for the government to run it.

Obama does not have the guts to restore the FDR legacy, much less extend it, thats why the health care debate has been a joke - except for the progress made in the House. And I'm glad to see Louise Slaughter is ready to defend the progress that has been made.

Perhaps you should read the comments properly before throwing flames. I was listing the excuses from the Obama crowd for the bill, not providing cover for Obama. And seriously, even if that was me, this is how you want to react? Just jump out there with guns blazing? Great way to win people over to your side, I gotta say. Next time read the comments fully before calling someone names.

Franken as a progressive is a myth. he got 335,000 fewer votes in Mn than Obama. Those were informed progressives who stood on principle and refused to vote for the DLC (corporate democrat.)

Right Louise. Sure. Agree with all you say. Now we'll see if your friend Nancy puts you on the conference committee so you can stick up for it. Let's not hold our breath though, honey.

You are such a pathetic SUCKER.

Regulated? REGULATED!? By the STATES, which are pathetically weak. California's own state regulator has admitted to being too weak to take on the insurance companies in California and they're the most powerful.

Sheesh. No Federal regulation, no price controls, NO limits on deductibles and copays, no premium control, nothing to stop adverse selection (sticking the sick and old into HIGH cost insurance while still forcing the young and PERFECTLY healthy to pay premiums they don't need nor want.

Piss off with your "reform".

1. There are some benefits(no denial based on pre existing conditions,...)
2. It is better than status quo
3. The government will heavily regulate the industry now
4. It is negative oppose it and they want to stay positive.

I am so tired of the jackasses, I don't even want to go there anymore :(

Maybe I am just cynical, but I think the WH will lean on this lady too and she will back off as well.

Who knew Obama was just a slimmer Hillary Clinton?

I know. When I got a vasectomy after my daughter was born, there were no women outside the urologist's office yelling "spermurderer" either. Most men I've known are fine with their partners getting hysterectomies or taking weird pills, but say vasectomies are mutilation.
