Snowden’s Empty Seat

Though earlier reports claimed NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowden would be flying to Cuba today, when Aeroflot Flight 180 from Moscow to Havana left the ground Snowden was nowhere to be found.

Max Sedon, the Moscow correspondent for the Associated Press tweeted out a picture of the empty seat saying “Standing next to Edward Snowden’s seat on flight to Cuba. He ain’t here. ”

Many journalists did board the flight which is alcohol free and will last 12 hours. They will have to stay in Cuba for three days.

Now questions are being raised if Snowden was ever actually in Russia or whether he still is. Might Iceland be his actual destination? Is Wikileaks helping Snowden escape with a disinformation campaign?

Where in the world is Edward Snowden?
