FBI Director Says Drones Have Been Used in America

Posted in: Uncategorized

Remember it’s not a police state because Washington elite hacks say it isn’t. We now have learned that not only is the government spying on American citizens’ phone calls, emails, and social media accounts, but that surveillance drones are also in use. The disclosure came by FBI Director Robert Mueller at a Senate hearing.

The head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation acknowledged Wednesday that his agency uses drones to conduct surveillance in the United States, but said it does so rarely.

Asked about drones at a Senate hearing, FBI director Robert Mueller said the agency uses them “in a very, very minimal way, very seldom.”

The FBI is notorious for violating people’s civil rights, most recently the Occupy Wall Street demonstrators by conducting unwarranted surveillance of activity protected by the First Amendment. But don’t worry it’s “seldom.” As long as protesting remains seldom that should remain the case.

Federal agencies have been using drones for years to monitor the northern and southern borders of the U.S., and those drones have occasionally been deployed to help domestic law-enforcement agencies like the FBI.

The use of such drones is politically charged and civil-rights advocates say there are no clear privacy rules governing their use.

Of course there are no rules governing their use.  Most people don’t know it is happening. That’s the point of government secrecy – people can’t regulate or urge regulation of things they don’t know about.

Don’t worry though, it’s not like the President can just kill an American Citizen because he thinks he should – oh, never mind.
