Now Senate Democrats might actually see climate change as a wedge issue, just a couple years after one of their caucus members literally shot climate change legislation in one of his campaign ads.

Later this morning, CEOs from BP and Transocean as well as executives from Halliburton will testify about the underwater volcano in the Gulf of Mexico which has to date leaked four million gallons of oil. As promised, Republicans on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee didn’t show up for business today, blocking the ability for Democrats to mark up the climate and energy bill.
